Malaysia hasn’t entered the monsoon transition phase just yet
Earlier, Berita Harian reported that heavy rain had caused flooding in several states, though wind activity has started to ease.
MetMalaysia’s Director-General, Dr. Mohd Hisham Mohd Anip, said the country is now at the tail end of the season.
He explained that based on current wind patterns, Malaysia hasn’t yet entered the monsoon transition phase, andĀ reminded the public that even short bursts of heavy rain can trigger flash floods.
