“You have enemies? Good. That means you’ve stood up for something, sometime in your life.” – Winston Churchill

For the past few weeks, UMNO Youth Leader Dr Akmal Saleh has been vocal about his boycott campaigns toward some brands over “Allah” designs. While he has gained much support from those who think alike, Akmal also received criticism from people who thought he was overdoing it.

Akmal remains strong and unfearful regardless of what happened and what’s coming.

“No fear, no surrender.”

In his recent Facebook post, Akmal said that as a leader, he will always stand with the truth that comes from the people’s voice.

Despite the criticisms, his principle remains the same – to protect the religion, country, and people

“I’ll protect what should be protected, and I’ll oppose and resist completely whatever that’s wrong,” Akmal made his stand clear.

In his post, Akmal also reminds the people that this is the time for everyone to get together and fight for what’s right.

Earlier, Dr Akmal voiced his boycott against KK Mart for Allah socks before going on another boycott for Vern’s over the Allah shoe design. Vern’s, however, has since apologised and explained that the design does not resemble Allah, and they have since withdrawn all shoes of that design from sales.

Akmal has since acknowledged and accepted Vern’s explanation and apology.
