A rather unconventional spaghetti recipe by a Caucasian woman caught the attention of Malaysians recently as, get this, the recipe involves the use of petai or stink beans!
In fact, it even caught the attention of the Queen of Pahang, Tengku Ampuan Pahang Tunku Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah who gave the recipe a thumbs up.
Caucasian woman shares unique spaghetti with petai recipe
Shared on TikTok by Georgia, the creator of Simple Green Soul, a website advocating plant-based lifestyle and sharing vegan recipes, the recipe was inspired by a commenter on 1 of Georgia’s previous TikTok videos who said that she cooks spaghetti with petai.
Accordingly, Georgia showed off the stink beans at the start of the video before showing how she makes the ap-petai-zing dish.
The steps are basically the same as making any other spaghetti dish but with all plant-based ingredients and a couple of extra steps.
The extra steps include adding sambal and of course, the petai.

The Queen of Pahang gives the recipe her approval!
Many Malaysians flocked to the comments section to praise how tasty the spaghetti looked, though some bashed her for using petai in spaghetti.
Most notably, the official TikTok account of the Queen of Pahang also commented on the video, saying that she needs to try the recipe.
Oblivious to the stature of the person who commented, Georgia then replied urging Tunku Azizah Aminah to do so and thanked her for the kind words.
In the replies, one commenter pointed to Georgia that the person who commented was the Queen of Pahang, to which a stunned Georgia said that Tunku Azizah Aminah was so nice to take the time to comment on her video.
She added that while many people were bashing her for the recipe, the Queen of Pahang was so kind by saying that she wanted to try the recipe.
