Local singer and rapper Namewee will be released on police bail tomorrow (13 November) upon expiry of his remand order to assist in the investigation into the murder of Taiwanese influencer Iris Hsieh.
Attorney-General Tan Sri Mohd Dusuki Mokhtar was quoted by Sinar Harian as saying that so far, investigations have not found any evidence linking the 42-year-old musician, whose real name is Wee Meng Chee, with the murder.

However, the Attorney General Chambers (AGC) will take the appropriate actions should there be any development in the case.
“Orders have been issued for further investigations to be conducted to ensure all aspects of the case are examined,” Mohd Dusuki said.
The Attorney General added that investigations will continue based on the set procedures.
