Many car owners who parked their vehicles by the roadside at LRT Glenmarie in Shah Alam returned to their cars with a big shock awaiting them.
Their cars were severely damaged after a hit and run incident, rendering their vehicles unsafe to be driven.


According to the dashcam footage circulating on TikTok, a trailer was seen navigating along the narrow road, but the driver couldn’t pass without damaging some of the parked cars. Many of the vehicles sustained major damage to the driver and back passenger doors, which were severely dented.
Some bumpers also fell off the cars and the windows were also broken.


Shah Alam District Police Chief, Mohd Iqbal Bin Ibrahim, confirmed that 7 reports about the matter have been received as of 4 PM yesterday (June 26). The hit-and-run accident took place on Wednesday (June 25) around 2:10 PM, according to an official statement by Iqbal.
“The drivers parked their cars at the area to take the train to work, and noticed the damages on ther vehicles after returning from work.”
Investigating officers are also acquiring CCTV footage from the area to identify the details of the trailer, and the matter is currently being investigated under the Road Traffic Rules 1959.
The public with relevant information is also urged to come forward to assist the police in the investigation.
