Previously, we shared how MUDA co-founder and Member of Parliament (MP) for Muar, Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman announced that the party is holding a ‘Hustle Initiative’ to raise funds for its State Election campaigns.
These include the Muar MP selling Otak-Otak Muar online and other members at all levels of the party auctioning off sneakers and other assets.
Yesterday, Syed Saddiq announced the result of the initiative, whereby MUDA successfully raised an impressive RM854,350.82!
Taking to Twitter, the MUDA co-founder thanked all Malaysians for their unwavering support and help, stressing that the accomplishment wouldn’t be possible without them.
Furthermore, Syed Saddiq also announced that the party would continue to work diligently and strive to live up to the trust that Malaysians have placed in them.
In continuing its efforts to raise funds, MUDA also announced a new fundraising initiative at a press conference yesterday, whereby the party would be holding the auction of paintings.
Among the artworks open for bidding is by prominent national artist Yusof Ghani who is a renowned name in the art world, with his works having been exhibited both locally and internationally.
We are a new party.
We do not have big donors or a patronage system like many others.
80% of our funds come from public crowdfunding.
This allows us to be fearless in voicing people’s issues without being tied down by anyone.
