Black magic is not to be taken lightly. These forces are always around us. However, while some are forces of good, others can be evil in nature.
User @ummiaulianaqi shared a chilling incident on her TikTok that allegedly involved black magic, which took place in the comfort of her own home.
In the caption, Ummi shared her concern about the incident, stating,
“Sorry, but I really need to know. Have any of you housewives ever cooked kuey teow and suddenly it turned blackish-green like this? In my 34 years of living, it’s the first time I’ve seen the kuey teow that I cooked turn pitch black like this. It’s always fine whenever I cook.”
As the story goes, Ummi spoke with WORLD OF BUZZ to recount how the incident occurred while she was cooking. In the video, the kuey teow can be seen with a black or greenish hue, resembling mold.
She explained that she was going about her usual cooking routine and didn’t document the occurrence, as it was simply part of her everyday activities.
Ummi shared that her sister-in-law was the first to notice the pitch-black kuey teow. Cooking has been a part of her daily life for the past 10 years as a housewife.
She felt quite shaken by the eerie sight, as it was the first time she had encountered such an occurrence. She responded to the online speculation, with some suggesting she might have used squid ink to achieve the colour.
However, she firmly denied these claims, saying,
“I know people online are assuming I used squid ink. But I didn’t, really.”
Ummi went on to detail the ingredients she used for the kuey teow, which were only chili blend and chicken. She also mentioned that she initially tried to brush off the incident and remained optimistic, thinking she might have used the wrong seasoning.
She’s hoping to get answers and is open to all criticism and opinions
Later, she revealed that she cooked kuey teow for the second time, which turned out normal, which was a huge relief for her.
“The reason I shared this on TikTok was simply because I wanted to know if anyone else had ever experienced something similar. If they have, I’d like to hear their stories and perhaps understand the significance behind it.”
“That’s why there’s an old saying about always closing your doors and windows during Maghrib time, especially when we can’t see them with our own eyes. Always be cautious.”
“I’m 45 years old, and never in my life have I cooked kuey teow until it looked like this. It’s definitely not just a coincidence if it actually turns moldy.”
“It’s the holy month, so I wouldn’t be surprised if black magic is lurking around the corner. If you’re unlucky, you could be affected.”
However, some users believed it was merely a coincidence
“Your aluminum pan looks brand new. If it’s your first time using it, that could be the reason why your kuey teow turned black or green. That’s just based on my experience.”
“The kuey teow noodles might still be chalky, which could be due to sodium. Perhaps it’s just a reaction from the chemicals and not related to black magic.”
