Following the announcement of the new and improved NFC card by Touch ‘N Go (TnG) in April, many Malaysians have been eager to get their hands on the new card.
Unfortunately, according to the TnG website, it has been stated that due to the global semiconductor chip shortage and disruptions to the supply chain resulting from unprecedented events around the globe, the demand for the enhanced card has far exceeded its supply.
Hence, they’re only able to release small batches every time they restock. Just yesterday (Aug 24), according to Lowyat. net , the scheduled restock for the NFC cards is happening today at 10am. But, many Malaysians have been unable to purchase the items due to its server crashing.
Many Malaysians have complained saying that their payment was unsuccessful despite going through the payment process while others couldn’t even get through to the payment process, making it impossible to purchase.
A user has exclusively shared to WORLD OF BUZZ that despite spamming the purchase button, their payment did not go through. When calling the TnG careline, the call was automatically declined.
“The webform provided by TnG has also stated that they would need a minimum of 7 days to get back to any enquiries and by then, the cards would have been sold out,” he said.
