Earlier this month, real estate company MahSing launched an amazing exhibition called Arts and Lights, which features beautifully-lit exhibits that take you to another world. Perfect for all you Instagram addicts!
The exhibition, located at Icon City Petaling Jaya, is open to the public on weekends and it’s completely FREE! Here are just some of the 12 installations we’d definitely recommend you check out for those perfect Instagram shots.
1. Galaxy of Centura
This exhibit is definitely one for all ages!
When you enter the Galaxy of Centura exhibit, you’ll feel like you’ve stepped into a completely different galaxy filled with huge light-up balls that change colour every time you hit them!
This is definitely the spot to take pictures and cool boomerangs that can add a surreal dimension to your Instagram feed.
2. Aruna in the Sky
Aruna in the Sky is one of the more dreamy exhibits at Arts and Lights, in our opinion. The calming music definitely provides a relaxing ambience to the room, which is filled with fuzzy clouds that glow beautiful shades of purple and blue.
Surrounded by the pretty clouds is a giant glowing moon that sits right in the middle of the space. The surrounding walls are adorned with LED “stars”, giving the entire place the look of a peaceful night sky.
Finding ideal lighting can be a little challenging at first, but once you find that perfect spot, your photos will look absolutely stunning!
3. Planet Vertica
This exhibit is definitely another one of our personal favourites. The entire space is covered in images of otherworldly planets and stars, and is beautifully lit with mystical purple hues. Two bronze horses stand in the middle of the space, giving the entire room a cool, abstract feel.
Plus, the background music in this exhibit kind of makes us feel like we’re in the Upside Down!
4. Anti-Gravity Room
Taking photos in the Anti-Gravity Room is definitely a fun experience for all ages. The small yellow space really looks like there’s no gravity, with a good number of “floating” objects scattered about the room.
It definitely makes for an eye-catching Instagram shot, if you ask us!
5. Southville Space Party
So, for all you Star Wars and Guardians of the Galaxy fans, this minimalist “Space Party” exhibit allows you to wear Stormtrooper, Darth Vader and Star-Lord headgears (just to name a few) and take as many glamorous shots as you want!
Of course, for those of you who aren’t too wild about wearing helmets but are obsessed with lighting, you’ll love this space too because it’s incredibly well-lit, making it perfect for #OOTD shots!
6. Dimension Room
If you’re into surreal stuff that’s reminiscent of ’80s pop art, we definitely recommend checking this exhibit out!
This trippy space is filled with brightly coloured mannequins, some of which are dismantled and popping out of unexpected places, making it feel like you’re in another dimension.
With its white background that has stark black grids, you can get some pretty interesting results when you play around with taking pictures from different angles. Perfect for budding photographers!
7. Moons of Meridin
We recommend checking out the exhibition at night, because that’s when the garden comes to life!
Among the thousands of beautiful lights (which makes the entire place look like that forest in Avatar, if you ask us), you can kick your feet up and relax on the Moon Swings, which glow a bright blue. When you take shots from the right angle, it will look as if you’re floating in space. Too cool!
So, interested in checking it out? If you are, you better do it quick, because it’s only open for a limited time!
More dates will be announced soon, so keep your eyes on their website here if you want to find out more! You can also book free tickets here!
