Elephants are loved by everyone, and Malaysians are no exception!
A recent TikTok video that’s been making rounds online shows elephants present at a project site in Pahang conducting “quality control” on fences.
2 elephants on duty!
@mr_chezz91 took to TikTok to capture the rare sight of the 2 creatures roaming around a fenced area, guided by riders, while other employees looked on and witnessed the incident.
One of the elephants was even seen effortlessly knocking down a pillar with its head, demonstrating just how easily any elephant could do the same.
New Straits Times reported that a source close to the project confirmed that this exercise is part of the East Coast Rail Link (ECRL)’s efforts to manage wildlife conflicts.
The goal is to see how effective the barriers are
It was also mentioned that the goal is to evaluate how effectively the barrier keeps elephants out of specific areas, as their presence could interfere with the project’s alignment.
It didn’t take long for netizens to notice the video and find amusement in the adorable situation, with one user even joking that even elephants need to find ways to make ends meet.
“These days, everyone needs money. If elephants are looking for a way to get by, let alone humans.”
This video has garnered over 148,400 views and 8,503 likes as of the time of writing!
