Despite increasing prices, the annual Ramadan bazaars in and around the Klang Valley continue to attract large crowds. However, many visitors have been expressing dissatisfaction with the quality of the food lately.
@wawani7‘s recent visit to a bazaar in Kedah left her disappointed. Speaking to WORLD OF BUZZ, Wawa shared her disappointment after bringing home a meatless murtabak to break her fast.
Wawa shared how she specifically requested beef murtabak at the bazaar. However, in the video, her husband revealed that the murtabak only contained onions as fillings.
She continued to express her disappointment, stating how disheartened she felt upon realising that there was only a tiny piece of beef in the murtabak.
“I’m so disappointed because I asked for beef murtabak, but there was only a small chunk of beef inside.”
RM5 for onion murtabak
Wawa mentioned that the murtabak cost her RM5, which she considered to be within an acceptable price range. However, she definitely didn’t expect to pay RM5 for an onion murtabak.
She added,
“My advice to all vendors at the bazaar out there, please be honest. Consider the feelings of your customers. Don’t blame them if they refuse to return to your stall.”
Netizens started flooding the comment section to share their opinions on the matter.
“Beef murtabak with extra onions.”
“They sell cabbage murtabak around the area where I’m staying. But there’s no sign of beef in it.”
“I was craving murtabak yesterday, so I went to a shop and specifically asked for no onions in my beef murtabak, as I’m not a big fan of them. But when I started eating it, I realised they had even added extra onions.”
“This is what they call onion murtabak. It costs RM5, doesn’t it? I’ve had it before, but it comes with a side of watered-down gravy and thin murtabak.”
“Maybe the cow hasn’t been slaughtered yet.”
