Honestly, where do people find brothers like these?
Recently, there have been countless stories of netizens sharing the extravagant gifts their brothers have bought them and we can’t help but feel a little jealous here.
On 14 March, a Facebook user named Jennifer Ling took to her Facebook to share her own experience when her elder brother surprised her with a “little gold bar” that she always wanted to buy.
“I learned that my brother went to the gold shop due to the recent drop in the price of gold. Therefore, I asked him to help me see if they were selling ‘little gold bars’ which are very popular recently” she wrote.
Jennifer mentioned that her brother also asked her about the price of the gold bar. However, she did not think much about it as she thought that he wanted to buy one for himself too since it is pretty cute.
She then tried to find out the price through the mobile application, 小红书, screenshotted it and sent it to the family group chat.
Jennifer wrote,
“After two days, I came back home from my part-time job and took a shower before coming out of my room. My brother told me that he went to check out the price of gold.”
“He actually put the “little gold bar” on my bed already, [it’s] just that I was “blind” and I couldn’t see it at all!”
Not knowing that her brother had already purchased the gold as a gift to her, Jennifer continued to ask if he checked the price of the gold model that she wanted. Her brother asked her,
“What were you doing in the room for so long??? (how could she not see it)”
Jennifer added that it was such a surprise for her as she rarely receives gifts from her brother.
“It is really surprising as this is the third time I’ve ever received a gift from my brother since I was born.” She added that her brother spent approximately RM300 on the gold bar.
