Generally, pranks are often harmless jokes played on our friends, but sometimes, people take it too far, resulting in horrible things.

A 16-year-old teen was recently killed in Bandar Puncak Alam on August 28 by a prank gone awry.

The boy and two of his pals were hanging out in a restroom playing video games, according to Norazam Khamis, director of the Selangor Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM).

Muhammad Damin Mikhail Kansol, 16, is claimed to have been sleeping on a sofa next to the restroom door when his companions set it on fire as a practical joke.

After the smoke grew thicker and the fire got bigger, the 2 teens who pulled the “prank” ran out of the toilet building while the victim, who was in a half-conscious state, ran inside the toilet.

The BOMBA director said they received an emergency call concerning the case at 2.35pm, reported Harian Metro. 19 personnel were deployed, along with 4 fire trucks.

“As soon as we reached the scene, we found the burnt body of the 16-year-old in the abandoned toilet.”

They were able to take the body out, and the personnel from the Ministry of Health certified that the teen had passed away. The body was then given to the police for further investigations.
