There’s a reason why we’re all warned against going to loan sharks, even in our time of desperate need. This is due to the fact that loan sharks will expect much, much more in return as compared to how much you borrowed, and will do anything and everything in order to extort as much money from you as possible.
Hence is why it is great that there are people like Mustafa Khan, a local former gangster who is helping victims of loan sharks to negotiate their release from the loan sharks’ clasps.
He recently took to his TikTok profile to share how he helped a woman with her loan shark problem, after the stress of having the loan sharks constantly going after her, despite her already repaying them way more than she borrowed, had caused her to have a miscarriage.
He wrote, “(She) borrowed RM2,000 and had paid them RM12,000 but they still want to claim RM6,000. But, in the end, her problem was settled without any fights.”
In his video, Mustafa Khan could be seen confronting the loan shark who had gone to visit the woman at her shop.
The loan shark, who is only 20-years-old, was clearly visibly shaken by Mustafa Khan’s bold confrontation.
“It’s not like she’s not paying you. She is paying you, right? You yourself are admitting that she is paying you back. Then why did you come to her shop?”
“You’re 20-years-old and you want to be an Ah Long,” he said to the loan shark.
Following the confrontation, the poor victim ended up crying on Mustafa Khan’s shoulder, after he had explained to the loan shark that the victim could not eat, sleep and had a miscarriage from all the stress.
We’re happy that there are people like Mustafa Khan out there who are protecting loan shark victims and shining a light on their illegal activities.
