Most Malaysians love the cheesy, savoury snack known as Super Ring. It is also a snack many high-profile people enjoy, like Blackpink’s Jennie or former Prime Minister Najib Razak.

In May 2020, Najib posted a picture of himself on Facebook eating Super Ring to ridicule Tun M.

Fast forward to yesterday (August 23), we all know Najib Razak had his appeals rejected, which means that he is guilty and will need to serve in prison for 12 years.

So, many people bought Super Rings after learning of the guilty verdict.

One of them is Faruq, who promised on August 23 that he would buy 100 packets of Super Ring and give them away if Najib Razak was imprisoned.

He wrote: “If Najib gets imprisoned in Sungai Buloh, I’ll buy 100 packets of Super Ring and distribute them at random to netizens.”

After the verdict, Faruq kept true to his promise and bought 100 packets of Super Ring!

As it was already late at night, he brought all the snacks home but couldn’t resist eating a pack.

Many netizens were amused, and most of them wanted a pack of the cheesy snack.

“Is it really 100 packs in there?” a netizen asked, to which Faruq responded with: “Of course, I won’t steal it like Najib (does)!”

“Location??”

“Where will you distribute it? I want to join if can.”

“I want one!”

The next day, he distributed part of them to his officemates.

Well, the fact that someone kept their promise is undoubtedly a breath of fresh air. But now, the question is, where can we find those tasty Super Rings now?!
