In November last year, a 36-year-old project manager went missing after he was last seen at his workplace in Dengkil.
The search for him was launched, a police report was lodged and his colleagues did what they could to find him. In a press conference by PDRM today (January 2), the police said that the missing man, known as Siew Tuck Ming, has returned home safely, 41 days after he was reported missing.
Siew returned home on his own on December 22, 2024, just 3 days before Christmas after he was last seen on November 11, 2024.
He needed time off to release stress
Throughout his disappearance, Siew was reportedly safe, and according to the Sepang District Chief of Police, Assistant Commissioner Norhizam Bin Bahaman said Siew needed some time off from work, so he left the state to release stress.
Before he returned home, Siew travelled to 4 states – Pahang, Kelantan, Johor, and Terengganu – to relax and have some “me-time”. He had not informed anyone, including his family members about his “trips”.
Siew also did not rent hotels throughout his travel, which made it tough for police to trace his whereabouts.
“He had been living in his truck during the period.”
Norhizam also said that the police investigated Siew’s Touch N’ Go card, and managed to trace Siew’s journey where he travelled to three different states on the day of his disappearance, before stopping in Kuantan, Pahang where no further clues were found.
Regardless, it’s certainly good news for the family now that Siew has returned home safely.
