We’ve been taught from a young age that smoking cigarettes is bad for our health, including secondhand smoke which isn’t even of our own doing. In more recent years, this has evolved to include vaping.

Though, sadly, some have not gotten that memo.

The Abdul Rani Kulup Fans Twitter page recently shared a video of a young boy openly vaping at a mamak restaurant, leaving them severely disappointed.

They wrote, “My father recorded this video himself last night at Restoran Hakim. See for yourself, a boy aged around 6-years-old has become clever at vaping. He’s even vaping openly in front of the general public without feeling ashamed or afraid. It is as though this had become a norm for him.”

“When Dr Zaliha Mustafa (Minister of Health) and KKM wanted to create a new act that controls the sales of cigarettes and vapes from children below the age of 16-years-old, there were some who did not support this act from being established. This is the result that you get. Children as young as 6-years-old becoming clever at vaping.”

Considering how addictive vaping can get and the severe health complications that come with it, it is truly heartbreaking to see such a young child vaping like he’s been doing it for ages.

We genuinely hope that the authorities enact the act that prevents children from being exposed to and able to vape.

What do you think about this? Do feel free to share your thoughts in the comment section.
