Food is undoubtedly one of the most important things we need in life as it helps nourish the body.
Unfortunately for this girl what was supposed to be a quick and easy meal turned out to be rather disturbing.
Just yesterday (12/9), a Facebook user has shared her unfortunate experience of wanting to eat a pastry that her family had gotten for her.
In her post, she mentioned:
“This breakfast definitely woke me up. I had a bite and saw that there was something white coming out of the sausage, taking a closer look I realised that it was wriggling and was shocked.
I quickly spat the food out and rinsed my mouth. Thankfully, I didn’t swallow the first bite and let’s hope I don’t have to ‘run’ to the toilet these few days.”
She told WORLD OF BUZZ that her dad bought the pastry from the bakery around 7pm last Saturday (10/9).
“When he bought the pastry, it was already well packaged, and it was taped up,” she said.
“When he brought it home none of us opened it until yesterday morning (12/9) when I wanted to have my breakfast”, she added.
She also said that they definitely are aware of the shelf life of the pastry and made sure to have it within the expiration date.
“I checked online, and the shelf life of the pastry was 2 days. My dad bought it at 7pm on a Saturday and I wanted it as breakfast on Monday (12/9) at 7am. The duration was less than 48 hours.”, she explained.
“We’ve seen pastry that has gone bad previously and usually it’ll have mold on it, this is the first time actually seeing worms wriggling in the sausage which is why it was shocking to us”, she stated.
