In this latest case of strange but deadly concoctions, this housewife from Kelantan almost died after she drank coffee mixed with bleaching fluid!
The victim, Siti Hajar Abdullah, 30, from Rantau Manis Agropolitan Park said she tried the mixture after being fooled into believing that it was an anti-poison type of coffee. What does that even mean?
Siti, a mother of four children, said that she was influenced by the effectiveness of the coffee as she had been riddled with health complications that affected her kidney, heart, hypertension and liver.

She said that she had been invited to a friend’s house to attend the product party in her residential area. A total of 20 people attended the event. The seller of the product had made claims that the coffee is anti-poison, anti-cancer, and can lower blood sugar levels, and even increase one’s metabolism!
“To prove that the coffee is an anti-poison, the seller mixed the coffee with bleaching fluid and told us to drink it. I thought it was not dangerous and could provide good health,” she said. She added that she was just an ‘orang kampung’ and wasn’t aware that drinking bleach was dangerous.
A few hours later, she felt a pain in the intestines and a growing heat in her throat that made it difficult to breathe. She even tried to stand the pain because she was afraid of her husband scolding her! Only after the pain got worse did she alert him.

“My husband rushed me to Gua Musang Hospital for treatment. I was admitted in the ward overnight and doctors did not rule out the possibility that drinking the coffee was the cause, as I also have a lot of illnesses,” she said.
The worst part was, one of her 8-year-old children had also consumed the coffee!

Siti says she bought three boxes of this anti-poison coffee, which was priced at RM95 a box! When she confronted her friend who sold her the product, they told her to not think too much about it, and to not believe the negative comments on social media! WHAT KIND OF FRIEND IS THAT?!
Guys, please be wary of the kinds of ‘herbal’ coffees and miscellaneous ‘healing’ concoctions that claim to heal all types of diseases, lest you be getting more kinds of problems than you started off with!
