A female customer at a convenience store had an uncomfortable experience that left her distressed after a male employee pressured her for her phone number while she was placing an order.
In a Threads post, @saghaahh shared that the employee at the Kuala Lumpur outlet even asked where she lived and suggested meeting her outside the store.

The worker allegedly refused to prepare her order until she gave her phone number
Saghaahh also claimed that the staff member didn’t start preparing her order until she gave him her number.
“He waited to prepare my order until I gave him my number. I tried to give my fiancé’s number, but he asked me to message him first. He even gave me Rose Tteokbokki for free. I had no choice but to comply at the time, as I was the only customer. I’m beyond terrified since I was driving alone.”
A screenshot attached to the post also showed an unknown individual, believed to be the male worker, instructing her to go to a specific location and making sure she was alone when she did.

She received texts from an unknown number, believed to belong to the worker
“I couldn’t think clearly at the time”
Speaking to WORLD OF BUZZ, Saghaahh said she felt forced to comply as she was suffering from a gastric attack and couldn’t think clearly at the time.
“All I could think about was just getting out of the store. I agreed to give my number because he was taking his time packing my food, and I just wanted to settle it quickly.”

She also expressed her hope that netizens would stop victim-blaming and that the convenience store would take immediate action.
“It’s sad to see people blaming me with all their ‘you should’ve, you could’ve’ comments when I was the one who went through it,” she added.
We have reached out to the convenience store for comment and are currently awaiting a response.
