The first days of anything can often bring some anxiety and anticipation to many people – be it for school, work, or even meeting new people. But for one little girl on her first day of school, she was blessed with the presence of her older brother, to guide her in navigating this new journey of her life.

In a recent TikTok video posted to the page @wahidanazeebkhan, a Malaysian mother named Wahida shared a heart-warming interaction between two of her children during her younger daughter’s first day of school.

“For their first day, teachers told parents that they could only come during recess to see their kids who started Standard 1. Suddenly, I saw this… my heart is melting,” wrote Wahida in a caption across the video.

Speaking on the clip, Wahida revealed that when she came to school during her child’s recess time, she came across the sweetest interaction – her older son had come to see his younger sister and ensure that she was doing well on her first day. Standing beside her as she ate her food, the duo could be seen chatting momentarily, with Wahida’s son making sure that his sister had enough to eat.

In a brief conversation with WORLD OF BUZZ, Wahida stated that her son, who is in Standard 3, went to check on his sister during recess before buying food for himself, wanting to see if she was settled for her day. Continuing on, Wahida mentioned that her daughter is enjoying school so far.

Touching hearts in the comments section, many Malaysians spoke on how sweet Wahida’s son was, recalling stories with their siblings from schooling days as well.

“Brought me back to 1997 when I was in Standard 1 and my brother was in Standard 3. Every recess, he would buy me nasi ayam and MILO ais, and would put it on the table in front of me to have. Thank you to my brother, even though we always fight until now,” light-heartedly wrote one user.

A few users also spoke on other unique experiences they had with their older siblings, as some said that they were told not to approach their siblings in school, while others would only come to them during recess to borrow money if they needed it.

Nevertheless, multiple people also praised Wahida and her husband for raising their son right, with him going to lengths, despite being little himself, to check on his sister before buying food for himself.

Even the smallest of efforts by siblings will not go unnoticed. There truly is no tighter bond!
