The challenges that come with being an older sibling can be quite daunting. While elder children may not have had a say as to whether their younger siblings will be brought into the world, many still view them as having to assume responsibility in caring for the little ones too. However, one sweet girl is showing that whether such an idea is true or not, she has no problem caring for her baby sibling.
A recent TikTok video has been making waves online after one Malaysian mother named Siti Fauziah shared a clip to her page @geehanssss of her second child, her daughter, carrying her youngest child while multitasking.
In the clip, Fauziah stated that she had been busy in the kitchen, cooking for her family, and asked her daughter to watch after her brother momentarily. It was not until she came to the living room to check on them did she witness the sweet moment; her daughter carrying her baby brother in her right hand as she completed her homework using her left hand.
Smiling at the camera for a split second, Fauziah also showed her little man perfectly relaxed in his sister’s arms, drifting off to sleep comfortably.
Speaking to WORLD OF BUZZ, Fauziah stated that her daughter had seen her brother, who is Fauziah’s eldest child, take care of his younger siblings in the past, and likely learnt from him. According to Fauziah, she has made it a priority in her household for all of her children to look out for one another.
“My children always work together to get house chores done and to make sure each other is doing well. I have taught them that since they were young. Last time, my eldest son used to watch his younger siblings diligently, and now, his sister is taking on that role also,” said Fauziah to WORLD OF BUZZ.
Warming hearts across the platform, many TikTok users praised Fauziah’s daughter for being such a kind and caring sibling, truly looking after her brother in the most careful way possible.
“Praise God, what a clever sister to look after her younger sibling,” wrote one user.
