Most workplaces have diverse employees of different races and age groups.
Though, not all of these age groups tend to be able to work well together.
A Malaysian boss took to the XUAN Play Facebook page to anonymously share their grief about employees who are from the 2000’s age group, meaning Gen Zs.
They wrote, “What happened in the 00’s (2000’s)? Recently, I hired a post-00’s employee to work (with me). Their mentality is really bad.”
The boss had apparently scolded the Gen Z employee over something at work, to which the Gen Z employee had complained to their mother.
The mother then reached out to the boss to scold them back!
“They complained to their mother that I scolded him, and then the mother scolded me in return. What’s wrong with me being a boss and asking my workers to work? What’s wrong with me creating job opportunities for being born in the 2000’s?”
“I was scolded by my employee’s mother that I don’t know how to be a boss. Even my own children don’t scold me.”
The boss went on to explain that their peers have had similar experiences with Gen Z staff.
“Everyone, those born in the 2000’s cannot be scolded, hit, spoken to or compared to others. Please let them stay at home with their mothers,” they added.
Perhaps this isn’t a ‘Gen Z thing‘ but a ‘parents of Gen Z thing‘, considering maybe the Gen Z employee complained about their boss to their mum without expecting that their mum might take matters into their own hands?
