Every year, the Horror Writer’s Association presents the Bram Stoker Awards for Superior Achievement, named in honor of Bram Stoker, the author of the seminal horror phenomenon, Dracula.
With that being said, it is truly amazing to be able to say that a Malaysia author is now among the prestigious winners!
The Bram Stoker Awards took to their website to announce the 2022 winners and taking the crown for the ‘Superior Achievement in a Fiction Collection‘ category is none other than 38-year-old Malaysian writer, Cassandra Khaw.
She had won the award through her book, Breakable Things published under Undertow Publications, which holds a cutting collection of stories that showcases a bloody fusion of horrors from cosmic to psychological to body traumas.
