The recent flood in Hatyai, Thailand, has been described as being of ‘tsunami’ proportions, considering how high the floodwaters rose, the struggles locals and tourists have to face, as well as the amount of destruction it left behind.
One netizen, @niztaqq._x8, took to his TikTok account to showcase Hatyai after floodwaters subsided. The streets were littered with rubbish and muddied, damaged cars.

He wrote, “Heavier than in the movies, this is Hatyai.”
In his video, multiple cars with Malaysian registration plates could be seen abandoned, muddied and damaged due to the floods, leaving many feeling bad for the vehicle owners and questioning what can be done.
What will happen now?
Many Malaysians shared their sympathies upon seeing the sheer amount of Malaysian cars that had been damaged in the flood in Hatyai.

“MasyaAllah, many cars belonging to Malaysians. May everyone’s matters be eased.”

“I don’t know how long it’s going to take for them to get their cars back. Even seeing it is saddening.”

“May all the vehicle owners stay strong. We never know when things will happen. I wish the best for everyone.”

“Many Malaysian number plates. I don’t know how you guys are going to settle things. I’m imagining if it were my car. So sad.”
