A man wearing a Spider-Man costume was injured after falling from a height of about 20 metres while hiking at Bukit Dinding in Kuala Lumpur on Friday evening (30 January).
The incident occurred at approximately 5 PM when the victim was believed to have slipped and fallen on a steep slope with an estimated gradient of nearly 75 degrees while carrying out a hiking activity.

Kuala Lumpur District Civil Defence Officer for Cheras and Sentul, Civil Defence Major Mohamad Aminullah Zulkafly, said the Kuala Lumpur District Operations Control Centre received an emergency call regarding the incident at 5:02 PM.
“Immediately after receiving the report, two rescue teams, including Emergency Medical Services (EMS), were dispatched to the scene,” he said in a statement on Saturday (31 January).
He added that the first rescue vehicle arrived at the location at 5:44 PM, and the rescue operation officially began at 5:54 PM.
Rescue personnel had to hike 1km
According to Mohamad Aminullah, rescue personnel had to hike approximately one kilometre along an established trail before moving about 70 metres off-trail through difficult terrain to reach the victim.
“Initial investigations found that the victim is believed to have fallen from a height of around 20 metres in an area with a slope steepness of approximately 75 degrees,” he said.
When located, the victim complained of pain in his spine and legs.
The rescue operation involved nine personnel from the Malaysian Civil Defence Force (APM) Kuala Lumpur, supported by a Light Rescue Vehicle (LRV) and a Medical Rescue Vehicle (MRV).

The man was successfully evacuated from the hillside and brought to a safe area before being handed over to the EMS team for initial medical treatment. He was later transported to Kuala Lumpur Hospital, where he was admitted to Resuscitation Zone 2 for further treatment.
