A debt dispute in Sarawak took a violent turn when a man ran over another person with his car in a residential area along Jalan Tun Ahmad Zaidi Adruce.
According to Oriental Daily News, the suspect not only hit the 38-year-old victim with his car but also attacked the victim’s young son while trying to collect the debt.

“He tried to collect a RM25 debt”
The incident happened around 11 AM on Monday (March 24) when the suspect showed up at the victim’s house in a white Perodua Myvi, reportedly to collect a RM25 debt.
Things escalated when he got into an argument with the victim’s son, which quickly turned physical.
Just as this was happening, the victim arrived home and saw his son being assaulted, prompting him to step in.

However, the suspect ended up ramming his car straight into the victim, even crashing into the house fence along the way.
The victim ended up with a fractured left leg and had to be rushed to the hospital for emergency treatment.
Authorities were then alerted and headed to the hospital to take statements. The case is now under investigation as police work to piece together the full details of the attack.
