A man in China, who scratched his lottery tickets while kowtowing to his ancestors at their tombs, has won the biggest prize of his life, attributing his luck to the “blessings” of his ancestors.
The 25-year-old from Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region in southern China said he spent 600 yuan (RM363) on 60 lottery scratch cards and took them to his ancestors’ tomb during the recent grave-sweeping festival.

Believing his ancestors would bless him, he scratched all 60 cards at their tomb. To his surprise, he soon revealed a 4,000-yuan (RM2,424) prize on one card.
The man said he immediately kowtowed four more times to his ancestors, continued scratching the same card, and ended up winning a total of 10,000 yuan (RM6,062).

He mentioned that he had almost never won lotteries or prizes before, making this his biggest win ever.
He posted photos of the lottery tickets on social media, expressing his gratitude with the caption: “Thank you ancestors.”
His post garnered 90,000 likes and 20,000 comments.
