This is indeed a cruel act on the boy!

A 2-minute video which was uploaded by Mageswaran Thendayuthapan on Facebook has gone viral and it shows a man repeatedly hitting a boy for pasting chewing gum on his car. That’s no excuse to hit him like that though!

You can watch the video here but viewer discretion is advised.

From the video, the man can be seen holding the boy and repeatedly hitting his back. Also, he can be seen pushing other kids who were there aggressively. He then instructed the boy to immediately remove the chewing gum on the front bonnet of the car and even used words such as “bloody sh*t” and “buffalo” to express his anger.

According to The Star, the incident is said to have happened at a children’s home in Taiping. Police have now identified the man who hit the boy repeatedly and they have questioned the suspect on Tuesday (February 19). Acting OCPD Supt Razlam An Hamid said,

“A report was lodged by us on the same date as the video was uploaded.”

“We believe the victim is a resident at the children home,” he added.

As for now, the case is being investigated under Section 323 of the Penal Code.

That’s not the way to educate a child about their wrongdoings! We hope that investigations are appropriately carried out and that the boy’s well being is made the utmost priority.
