In a shocking incident at a Haidilao branch in China, a man was caught on video urinating into a hotpot. The video quickly went viral on Chinese social media, sparking widespread outrage.

The footage showed a man in black pants standing on a table and appearing to urinate into a hotpot. Used plates and utensils were scattered across the table, while laughter could be heard in the background.

After the stream of liquid stopped, the man adjusted his pants.

The video prompted Haidilao to announce that they would take legal action and that investigations were underway.

According to a news outlet, the company confirmed they had reported the incident to the relevant authorities and would fully cooperate with the investigation. Haidilao pledged to assist the authorities, including providing surveillance footage if available.

It is unclear whether the act was real or not as some netizens speculated that the man may not have actually urinated into the steamboat, but instead poured liquid from above to create the illusion.

We hope that the authorities get to the bottom of the matter.
