To all you sneakerheads and hypebeasts out there, your most anticipated event is here again! Now you’ve got one more reason to join Taylor’s University Open Day event, as Taylor’s is partnering with SneakerLAH for its Taylor’s Future Movement 3.0 on 7 & 8 March!
Taylor’s Future Movement (TFM) is part of the campus’ annual Open Day event that will be held at Taylor’s very own Lakeside Campus over three weekends: 7-8, 14-15, and 21-22 March 2020. The highlight of the event is definitely the exclusive partnership between Taylor’s and SneakerLAH that will be happening on the first weekend.
From aspiring and existing students to even parents, everyone will be welcomed at this Open Day as this event hopes to give you a glimpse of their campus life as you discover more about Taylor’s University and College.
Walao, we sure wished our campus was this much fun!
Other than that, here are some of the awesome activities that you can expect at this year’s event:
1. The first-ever on-campus sneaker convention!

If you’re one of the many sneakers connoisseurs in Malaysia, then there’s no need for an introduction to SneakerLAH since, you know, it’s only the BIGGEST sneaker convention in the country. This time around, SneakerLAH will be bringing 35 local and international sneaker brands and showcases to TFM that will surely provide you with all the sneaker sole-utions you need.
Get ready for various interesting activities including lacing competitions, live design demos, and trading pits for those of you who are eager to cop some of the coolest pairs of kicks.
2. Star-studded stage performances by local artists
Of course, the event wouldn’t be complete without some great music to accompany you. Groove along to the tunes of an amazing lineup of your favourite local artists featuring Midnight Fusic, BATE, Airliftz, and Talitha Tan.

3. Join forums with interesting topics
Fun can be informative too, guys! While you’re here, don’t miss out on these interesting talks that will be held on both days of the event:
- Saturday: Join the panel on “Building Your Own Online Sneaker & Streetwear Platform” by Bryan Chin, Editor-in-Chief of Masses and Founder of SneakerLAH; Tunway @ Xiao Pi Hai, Content Creator and Founder of Futuremade Studio and Taylor’s very own alumni Andrew Ngo, Chief Executive Officer of Stoned & Co.
- Sunday: The topic of “The Rise of e-Commerce in Sneaker & Streetwear Culture” will be discussed by Shawn Tan, Co-Founder of Against Lab; Euan Lam, Founder of 17 Gallery, and Dr. Garry Tan from the Faculty of Business and Law at Taylor’s University.
4. An exclusive sneaker customisation workshop
Taylor’s recently held a sneaker design competition across their social media platforms in search of 10 creative students who will take part in a full-day sneaker customisation workshop with talented artist, Edmond Looi. Happening over both days of TFM, be there to witness and be awed by the sneaker master in action!

- Lucky draws where you might just be in the running to win a FREE pair of PEACEMINUSONE x Nike Air Force 1 ‘Paranoise’. All you gotta do is drop by and get lucky!
- If you get tired from having too much fun, treat yourself to yummy food from Nachoslah & Yoohoo Hot Dog that will be served all day!
