Transport Minister Anthony Loke Siew Fook in a statement announced the results of the bidding for the “A__A” special registration number (NPI) series in conjunction with the Road Transport Department’s (JPJ) 79th anniversary celebration.
Loke revealed that RM24,022,793 in revenue was collected from the NPI bids, which will be used to implement initiatives under the Ministry of Transport (MOT).
JPJ raises over RM24 million from the “A__A” special plate number series

The statement asserted that the “A__A” NPI series was open for bidding from 19 to 23 April 2025 and received an incredible response from bidders.
Specifically, the Transport Minister revealed that a total of 24,470 bidders participated, and from that total, 6,746 bidders successfully won their preferred plate registration number.
Based on the bidding record, the plate registration number with the highest bid in the NPI series was “A9A”, which was won by a bid of RM902,020.
In second place is “A11A” at RM703,007, followed by “A8A” at RM700,000, “A7A” at RM502,000 and “A2A” at RM490,888.

Meanwhile, 5 plate numbers in the NPI series with the most bids were “A51A” (40 bids), “A101A” (31 bids), “A8118A” (29 bids), “A1881A” (27 bids) and “A19A” (27 bids).
Revenue from the NPI series bids will be channelled back to the public through various MOT initiatives, including the MyLESEN, Helmet Exchange and FlySISWA subsidies programmes, as well as PERKESEO payments to taxi drivers.
