Stray animals are often times helpless creatures who live in fear of the cruel actions of humans.
An example of this is a horrible person who decided to douse a little kitten in paint in Gombak, Selangor.
Animal NGO, Persatuan Haiwan Malaysia – Malaysia Animal Association, took to their Facebook page to offer a RM3,000 reward to whoever who can provide them with information that will identify the perpetrator who poured white paint on the poor kitten.
They wrote, “The Malaysia Animal Association through the Malaysia Animal Crime Transparency – MyAct, is offering a reward of RM3,000 in cash to anyone who can channel information with complete, clear and valid proof of the criminal who dipped a cat (in paint) in Gombak, Selangor.”
“This cash reward will be given if the animal criminal is successfully arrested, charged and proven guilty by the court. This act is not only irresponsible but also threatens the cat’s life since paint is a chemical that can harm the cat’s health if it licks its body.”
Witnesses of the incident have since been urged to come forward and channel complaints about this cruel and inhumane act via the Malaysia Animal Association hotline, +60105394749 (WhatsApp).
“This case can be investigated under Section 29 of the Animal Welfare Act 2015 for causing harm to the cat, with a maximum prison sentence of 3 years and a maximum fine of RM100,000, if found guilty,” they added.
We genuinely hope that the perpetrator faces the consequences for their cruel actions.
