The loan sharks in Malaysia are truly ruthless when it comes to collecting debts from those who owe them, from throwing paint at their debtors houses to threatening their loved ones.
But now, things are going further.
The MYNEWSHUB Twitter page recently shared a video of a group of men raiding the porch of a house in Simpang Ampat, Penang, while hacking machetes and breaking at the home owner’s belongings. The group is believed to have allegedly been sent by a loan shark in an effort to scare the home owner into paying their debt, though this has yet to be confirmed.
They wrote, “Attacking someone’s house in large numbers with machetes. Wait lah for the police to come and get you.”
In the video, the group of men with machetes could be seen opening the gate of the house as the home owner’s neighbours quickly run into their own home for safety.
The group then started hacking at and breaking various items around the homeowner’s porch, including their window, motorcycles and even the car parked in front of the gate.
Thankfully, the group didn’t attempt to break into the house or harm the homeowner and soon dispersed into vehicles waiting outside.
Utusan TV later confirmed that the police have arrested 23 people in relation to this incident.
