Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) revealed that its aerotrain service suffered a disruption today due to a power trip.
Taking to its official Facebook page, KLIA said that the power trip caused one of the aerotrains to halt temporarily before arriving at the satellite terminal at 1:36 PM.
One of the aerotrains in KLIA was temporarily disrupted due to a power trip

In the statement, KLIA asserted that all passengers inside the aerotrain were safely exited via the central platform walkway in accordance with its standard operating procedure.
“The other aerotrain continued operating as normal during this time, and passenger transfers between the main and satellite terminals have not been interrupted,” the statement added.
KLIA also issued an apology to passengers who were impacted by the disruption.
The incident comes less than a week after KLIA Terminal 2 suffered a power outage

This latest incident comes just 6 days after KLIA Terminal 2 was struck with a power outage for over 15 minutes.
During the blackout on 28 August, Transport Minister Anthony Loke Siew Fook was at the airport and demanded answers over the incident. He also dubbed the power outage unacceptable as it affects the country’s image.
On the same day, the Malaysian Airports Holdings Berhad (MAHB) responded to the matter via an official statement, citing cable termination over the power disruption.
