For many of us, striking the jackpot is a dream and on 29 October 2022, this Sarawakian’s dream came true.

The 66-year-old Sarawakian had bet RM20 on the numbers 8239 and 3336 in a Magnum betting station in Kota Sentosa, Kuching, Sarawak.

Magnum Lottery Winner

On the night of 29 October, he was watching the live results on the Magnum app when he saw that both of his numbers were in the Top 3 winning numbers; he kept rechecking the results in disbelief.

“My heart pounded with joy after I realised that my dream had indeed come true. It’s been a tough year so this win is life-changing.”

The winner had shared that both the numbers have a meaning behind them, reported Kwong Wah Daily.

Hold Elderly Hand

The 66-year-old said that back in the day, he used to work as a technician and he rented a house from an old couple who lives next door.

“They were old and had multiple illnesses, so I took care of them like they were my parents. They had an old car with the license plate number 8239. I felt that it was a lucky number so I always bet on it.”

As for 3336, he mentioned that he got the number from a Chinese temple in KL a few years ago when he was “blessed by a holy entity.”

When asked about how he will be spending his prize money of RM14.3 million, he said that he will be sharing some of the money with his family members, donating some to charity and putting the rest in the bank.

Congratulations are certainly in order. This shows that what goes around definitely comes around, even if it might take a while!
