On 14 September, Yuva Nathan shared a heartwarming Facebook post that has made Malaysians restore their faith in humanity.

Yuva and her friends were on their way to Kuala Terengganu when they saw a Dusky Leaf Monkey run across the road as they were passing Temerloh. Thankfully, they didn’t hit the animal, however, the monkey had other ideas and ran back and got hit by their car. Luckily, the monkey survived but they figured that there might be some damage done to the car.

Upon arriving at the Temerloh R&R, they checked the car and there was a lot that needed fixing. The car’s number plate was missing, the bumper came off slightly and there was water leaking.

While they were inspecting the vehicle, a few guys, who were parked across from them, asked what happened and requested to examine the damaged vehicle.

Miraculously, these guys turned out to be mechanics. They also happened to have tools in their car because, during their journey from Kajang to Kuantan, their car had some minor setbacks.

It took two hours for the car to be fixed by the mechanics. They repaired the radiator, straightened the dented centre bar and put the bumper back into its place. The women were so grateful for their help and wanted to give them money to which the mechanics declined.

They insisted on not taking any money from the women and said;

“It’s okay, we are sincere in helping you. We try to help however we can.”

When Yuva placed some money on the driver’s seat, one of the mechanics took it and gave it back to her.

Yuva stated in her Facebook post that because people like them exist, it makes her believe that Malaysia still has hope.

It’s nice to hear stories of good samaritans taking the time out of their day to help those in need. For those who are in Kuantan, check out AR Motorsport if your ride needs some fixing or upgrading.
