Siti Aisyah was one of many suspects that the police have caught to investigate the thrilling murder of Kim Jong Nam which took place in KLIA2 on February 13, 2017.
Just the night before the murder happened, Aisyah and her friends were out partying in a popular club in Kuala Lumpur.
The friends were throwing her a belated birthday as well as a celebration for her pending success as an internet celebrity, The Star reported.
One of Aisyah’s friends who wished to remain anonymous told the media that this was all a setup.
“I do not believe Siti Aisyah would kill someone just for money. It is impossible. I think she has been framed.”
The friend insists she was innocent because Aisyah had mentioned that she was doing this as part of a prank for a reality TV show.
Aisyah even told the police that she thought she was smearing merely baby oil on Jong Nam’s face. She claimed she did not know it was actually a weapon of mass destruction called the VX nerve agent.
Apparently, Aisyah was promised RM400 to partake in this stunt.
Aisyah was trying to grow her fame. Her friend told the press about how Aisyah had no clue about what was going on, and definitely had no motive to kill him.
“She is a very simple person and hoped to one day break into the entertainment industry. I knew of her ambition about a year ago.”
The friend hoped that Aisyah could be released soon and be reunited with her family in Indonesia.
The VX nerve agent is so potent that a single drop to the human’s skin can cause pain, blurred vision, drowsiness and vomiting, BBC reported.
The liquid is clear, amber-coloured, oily, and has no taste nor smell. This would have easily lead Aiysah to believe that it was merely baby oil.
The amount smeared onto Kim Jong Un was so much that he died within 15-20 minutes.
