Malaysia has recorded a whopping 432 new Covid-19 cases as of 5 October 2020. This makes it the highest increase ever in the history of Covid-19 in the country to date!
Of the total cases, 429 are local cases while three cases are imported. Thankfully, no new deaths has been recorded maintaining the death toll at 137.
A majority of the new cases come from Sabah with 130 new cases and Kedah with 241 new cases. Meanwhile, Selangor records an additional 34 Covid-19 cases.
The breakdown of the remaining cases are as follows:

- Selangor – 34
- Kuala Lumpur – 7
- Terengganu – 5
- Labuan – 4
- Perak – 2
- Johor – 2
- Putrajaya – 2
- Sarawak – 1
- Pahang – 1
- Melaka – 1
- Negri Sembilan – 1
- Kelantan – 1
