A university student was arrested in Johor after being found in possession of over 5,000 child sexual abuse materials (CSAM), including adult pornographic content.
Bukit Aman’s Sexual, Women and Child Investigation Division (D11) Principal Assistant Director, Assistant Commissioner Siti Kamsiah Hassan, said the arrest was made at 4 PM on April 29 during Op Pedo, following information received through cooperation with Google.

He produced his own videos involving his underage cousins
According to Berita Harian, some of the seized content included videos believed to have been self-produced by the suspect, involving two of his underage cousins.
The man was arrested in Gudang, Johor, by a team from the Malaysian Internet Crime Against Children (MICAC) unit, Bukit Aman’s D11 division, and the Johor police contingent.
Further investigations also revealed that the 5,000 CSAM and adult pornographic files on his devices were believed to have been downloaded from the internet.
He was charged in Johor on May 22 for possessing the illegal materials, pleaded guilty, and was fined RM5,000.

His cousins were 4 and 9 years old
Siti Kamsiah said the arrest, along with the seizure of his phone and laptop, was done under Section 10 of the Sexual Offences Against Children Act 2017 and Section 292 of the Penal Code.
She said further investigations showed the suspect had sexually exploited two of his cousins, aged 4 and 9. He recorded those acts on his phone at three different locations in Selangor, Pahang, and Kelantan.
She also mentioned that three separate investigation papers were opened to look into the cases in each state.
“As for the recordings he made with the children at his family’s house in Sungai Buloh between 2023 and 2025, he was charged for that in Klang today (June 19),” she added.

She added that investigations are still ongoing into an incident where the suspect allegedly recorded one of the kids while she was bathing at a duck farm toilet in an oil palm plantation in Maran, Pahang.
“As for the incidents in Kelantan, which happened last year and earlier this year at the suspect’s grandmother’s house, the case is still being reviewed by the Attorney Generalâs Chambers,” she said.
