It appears that Hari Raya Aidilfitri has become so much more festive this year, compared to previous years.
This is because of communities taking their own initiatives and working together to make Hari Raya in their neighbourhoods livelier than ever.
One example of this is a Hari Raya parade that was organised by the residents of a Johor Bahru neighbourhood, as showcased in a video shared by BERNAMA.
They wrote, “The residents of Kampung Sungai Tiram in Johor Bahru recited Hari Raya Aidilfitri prayers while parading by riding on a variety of decorated lorries.”
In the video, the Hari Raya prayers could be heard as a line of lorries that were decorated to the nines rolled down the road.
Most of the lorries were decorated to look like mosques and were gorgeously fitted with colourful lights that made them glow in the darkness of the night.
It’s obvious that a lot of effort was put into the lorries’ decorations!
We genuinely hope to see a lot more communities cooperating with each other to make festive seasons much more vibrant.
