A driver in Kajang was frustrated after his car got clamped, claiming he was “cheated” for parking in a spot that used to be blocked by a tree fence.
According to China Press, the driver said his car was clamped by Kajang Municipal Council officers, and he was told to pay RM50 to get it released.

“It feels like a trap”
The driver took to social media to vent his frustration, calling the spot a “trap” parking space.
He explained that the faded grid lines made it look like a regular parking lot, and only later did he realise he had accidentally parked in a motorcycle space.

Although he admitted his mistake, he still felt it was unfair, especially since others had also been caught out by the same issue.
“I really hope the Kajang Municipal Council looks into this. The lines aren’t clear, and there’s no sign saying it’s for motorcycles. It feels like a trap,” he said.

A request has been made to reinstall the tree fences
It was reported that several tree fences in the area had previously been removed, leaving behind small empty spaces just big enough to fit a car.
With limited parking spots available, many drivers assumed it was okay to park there since it didn’t block traffic.
The Kajang Municipal Council had allegedly requested that the tree fences be reinstalled, but no action has been taken so far.
