Just recently, an issue went viral in the form of a confession.
In that confession sent to an X (previously Twitter) user, a woman speaks of wanting an intimate wedding and having only invited 150 people. However, her relatives invited their neighbours, friends and family and 400 people were at her wedding.
Many people sympathised with her and shared that they had had similar experiences. However, they have probably found a solution to this problem in Indonesia through QR codes.
In an Instagram Reel by GR Invitation, the company says that they offer a solution to guests who were not invited.
The short clip shows how that works: a reception area with a couple of laptops and the attendees’ data are already in the devices.
So, when the guests present their assigned QR codes, they are welcomed to the wedding venue. Those who were not invited would not have QR codes and will not be granted entry.
Many in the comments said that the hosts of weddings that contract this service are stingy, while others saw the appeal behind keeping an intimate wedding on a small scale.
This service can undoubtedly help when you want to keep your wedding to a small scale. If this service was introduced in Malaysia, would you get it? Let us know in the comments.
