The Member of Parliament (MP) for Muar, Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman, achieved a personal milestone after completing the Ironman World Championship and officially earning recognition as a world-class finisher.
The former Youth and Sports Minister conquered the world’s toughest triathlon in Nice, France, clocking in at 13 hours, 4 minutes, and 36 seconds at the 2025 edition of the event.

He placed 1,705th out of more than 2,000 participants
In a Facebook post, Syed Saddiq shared that completing the race still feels surreal, but assured that his Ironman journey is far from over.
“Alhamdulillah, I’ve completed the 2025 Ironman World Championship! It still feels like a dream,” he wrote.
He impressively placed 237th in the men’s 30 to 34 age group and ranked 1,705th overall out of 2,337 participants.

“My goal is to keep doing Ironman races until I’m 100”
According to Syed, he has plans to continue competing in Ironman events until he turns 100.
“Is this the end of my journey? Definitely not. I did this to push myself to be the best version of me, building discipline, resilience, and fighting spirit, while staying strong both mentally and physically. God willing, keep me in your prayers,” he said.
