When we think of school toilets, most of us would think of the very unsavoury things that were in our primary and secondary school toilets.
In the past year or so, the government has asked Malaysians to pay more attention to toilet hygiene and we can see that there are definitely improvements over the period.
However, this school in KL certainly took those words really seriously and managed to build a brand new toilet for their students and it’s on par with mall toilets!
A post of the new toilets was uploaded on Facebook by the school SJKC Chung Kwok with the caption: “Thank you to all the great people who made this happen. Our new toilet is officially open today!”
The toilets were equipped with wood panelling, new toilet bowls, urinals with partitions, a large sink area, proper ventilation and ambient lights. This looks even better than the toilets of some offices!
Many netizens were amazed by the toilets and kept tagging their family and friends.
“Wow, 5-star toilet.”
“This is awesome, I will go to the toilet after every lesson,” said a user.
Even the Minister of Housing & Local Government Development, Nga Kor Ming said that the school did a good job!
“The ministry’s effort to create more BMW toilets are coming to fruition. Good job and congratulations to SJKC Chung Kwok for building such a clean toilet. Hopefully more people will follow this good example.”
He ended the tweet by urging everyone to keep their surroundings clean as it is a shared responsibility.
We certainly hope that the students will keep their brand-new toilet clean and not vandalise it!
