Former Minister of Economy, Rafizi Ramli, shared a shocking incident that befell his wife and 12-year-old son yesterday (August 13), in which they were attacked, and the attacker dragged the son before jabbing him with a syringe.
The mother and son were headed to their car at a shopping mall in Putrajaya during the incident, but the nightmare did not end there.
Rafizi’s wife received a similar threat two times via text, which said, “Stop! If you continue, then it’s AIDS!”

In a press conference today (August 14), Rafizi shared a couple of updates about the matter and said that his son was rushed to the hospital for a check-up and blood tests to identify if the syringe jab was dangerous. As a father, Rafizi shared his view from a non-medical standpoint, and predicted that the syringe jab could have 3 different outcomes,
- Drug or poison
- Viral infections (Hepatitis, HIV, or others)
- Blank, which could simply be water
Unfortunately, there is no shortcut to determine what was jabbed into his son, and the family had no choice but to go through the first 6 months, with multiple blood tests, before they could confirm if Rafizi’s son is in a dangerous condition, or not.
“As for now, my son has not shown any bad symptoms. But we’ll have to go through these 6 months first.”
Rafizi also believed that the attack was premeditated, saying that not many people are aware of where he stays and what he does daily. He also said that his wife and he have different chauffeurs, and he does not always know their movements out there when he’s working.
“I believe it took the attackers 2 to 3 days of planning before the eventual attack yesterday.”
Stay tuned as we keep you updated.
