Syed Saddiq recently revealed the motive behind his temporary modelling career with local actress, Bella Astillah, and yesterday (February 18) at Parliament, Syed shared why he resorted to the method.
“I had to become a model because I couldn’t get government allocation”

At Parliament, Syed explained that the uncertainties about the government’s funds had forced him to become a model to raise funds so that he could help the people in his area – Muar.
The co-founder of MUDA also explained that letter after letter, negotiation after negotiation, he still has not received a confirmation from the government about the fund allocations to the members of Parliament (MPs) of the Opposition.
“That’s why I had to become a model. Some MPs were angry that I became a model.”
“But fortunately, I received a donation of more than RM1 million for the Muar Parliament.”
“If you’re not allocating funds, then say it”
In Parliament, Syed also urged the government to be clear about the fund allocations to the other MPs from the Opposition.
“It’s been more than 400 days but there is still no reponse. If you are not giving funds, then say it.”
“Don’t say different things on different days.”

Last year, Syed also ran about 200 KM from Muar to Parliament in protest against the government’s refusal to provide allocations to opposition MPs.
Syed recently revealed on his Instagram that thanks to the collaboration with Prima Valet, the latter allocated RM1 million in the form of necessities and goods to the Muar Parliament so that Syed could distribute them to the people there.
Do you think the government should allocate funds to the Opposition?
