As we all know, the Kuala Lumpur Standard Chartered Marathon (KLSCM) will be taking place over the weekend, 30 September and 1 October and this means that many roads will be temporarily closed.
In order to optimise your weekend, here is the schedule for the road closures that we have found on the KLSCM website.
The Boost Juice Run, both 5km and 10km, have already taken place this morning (30 September) and what’s left is the main run, which is the full marathon and half marathon that will take place in the morning of 1 October.
Most of the roads stated will be closed for just up to 7 hours but there are a few that will be closed for an extended amount of time. They are:
- Jalan Raja (Dataran Merdeka) from 8pm on 29 September till 12.01pm on 2 October,
- Both sides of the Ampang-Kuala Lumpur Elevated Highway (AKLEH) from 11pm on 30 September till 11am on 1 October, &
- DUKE Highway heading north, Jalan Duta from 11pm on 30 September till 11am on 1 October.
Here’s the complete list for you to refer to.
If you need to get into the city centre this weekend, it might be better to use public transport. If you’re looking to do so, you will definitely need to plan ahead.
