Gym Member From Fitness First Platinum At Klang Bukit Tinggi Tests Positive For Covid-19

A Fitness First outlet located in Aeon Shopping Mall, Bukit Tinggi, Klang just reported that one of its members tested positive for Covid-19 on Sunday (11 October).

In a statement addressed to all gym members of the location, it was said that the member visited the gym at 3.21 pm on 6 October and did not display any symptoms during the health screening upon his arrival at the premises, as reported by Sin Chew Daily. The member did not partake in any group exercise classes during this time and only trained at the location on this day.

The member only began displaying symptoms of the virus on 8 October and took a Covid-19 test. His results came back positive three days later. Currently, the patient is being quarantined in a hospital.

“MOH contacted us today to notify us of the confirmed case involving our member,” said the statement. “Our Bukit Tinggi club will undergo thorough cleaning and sanitisation this evening and will remain closed until further notice. As advised by the MOH, all staff who were working during the time in question have been home quarantined, sent for testing and will be awaiting results.”

As for members who were at the location during the said time, they will be contacted accordingly.
