The Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) has arrested 5 men, who are suspected of being linked to Global Ikhwan Service and Business Holding (GISBH), at the Malaysia-Thailand border, at Bukit Kayu Hitam; Kedah, heading to Thailand at about 6pm yesterday (September 18).
They also seized 2 recreational vehicles (motorhomes) bearing the company’s logo and a Perodua Myvi.
According to a report by BERNAMA, Inspector-General of Police, Tan Sri Razarudin Husain shared that the arrest of the individuals and the confiscation of the vehicles at the Malaysia-Thailand border was the result of an investigation by the North Zone Border Intelligence Unit.
“The result of the observation found that the vehicles were moving towards the Immigration, Customs, Quarantine and Security Complex (ICQS) Bukit Kayu Hitam, heading to Thailand,”
“Inspections were carried out with the help of the Kedah Criminal Investigation Department and (they) successfully detained the (motorhome) vehicles and a Myvi with 5 men aged 28 to 41 years old. Preliminary interrogations and the documentation process are still underway,” he said.
The arrested individuals and the seized vehicles have since been taken to the Kubang Pasu District Police Headquarters for further action.
It is also understood that one of the 5 individuals arrested is the son of the main leader of the company involved.
